About
“A Woman of noble character, who can find? She is worth far more than rubies….She gets up while it is still dark; she provides food for her family. She considers a field and buys it. She sets about her work vigorously, her arms are strong for her tasks. She opens her arms to the poor and extends her hands to the need. She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come. Her children arise and call her blessed. Give her the reward she has earned, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.”-Excerpts from Proverbs 31.
That is right, women are worth far, far more than rubies when it comes to contributing not only to household development, but international development as well. I hope to use this blog to highlight the struggles of women of color in developing, non-western nations, especially in regards to business, entrepreneurship, and media representation and participation. Please feel free to leave comments and feedback.
